So, the first language that I would like to write in, is Swedish. It makes a lot of sense to begin with a language that's relatively easy to understand and the word-order is quiet similar and frankly, Sweden is just so beautiful. So is the language, after all, who would have imagined that Vikings actually sang their language !! How's that for, food for thought;P
And then there is the aesthetic sense of the Swedes, I recall reading somewhere that " If Apple was a country, then it would have been Sweden " ! Somehow, Swedes ( and the Northerners ) seem to get it just right, perhaps a knack for the minimalistic designs so very intrinsic that going overboard might be a rare oddity.
Have a look at this site, Sweden, you will have a glimpse of what I mean !
And you have got to love the flag, looks to calm and serene. Of course, I know that these all very well might be me being romantic with the culture and the country; but that's exactly the point of it all, you see ! To fall in Love with the language and the culture as much as you can; that's what keeps us going.
Apart from the reasons about Why I chose to Learn Swedish , these would be mentioned in the sister blog The Talking Apes;), in near future. As for this blog I would like to start practising my writing skills in the language within the context of Swedish History.
The main themes that I am gonna focus upon are Swedish Nature, the Viking past, the notorious hackers from Sweden, it's literature, famous people in Swedish History and just trying to explore the various peculiarities and highlights of the culture through the language.
I am gonna try and use Esperanto to glue different languages together and to create the context for the dialogue so, I hope that you would eventually get a bilingual "bloggbok" spanning various languages, and you know, just exploring the culture, making up fictional stories within the context and to be able to write creatively in the language.
I hope to record my progress in the language as well and it is my sincere desire that it turns out to be useful for you to learn various languages as well.
Another thing that I must mention is that, recently I was having a sort of crisis regarding how to actively use the languages that I have learned so far and it was only because of a friend from Sweden that this idea has come to fruition, so thanks Adam;P I really appreciate your advice and the fact that you heard me out so well.
The Idea is to select a few contexts and grow them accordingly, I might use timestamps to ascertain when a change in made but essentially these posts might grow into scrolls rather than a once touched subject.
So, let me go through the to-do list once again,
> Change Google language to Swedish Check
> Figuring out the context Check
> Use Esperanto for main narration Check
It's time...
